This is the 4th book in the Boston Terriers Series and gives a inside glimpse of Trevor. In previous books he was kind of portrayed as a spoiled rich kid with a over inflated ego that also happened to be a star football player on the Boston University Football team. I was not really interested in him in the previous books. However, in this book he redeems himself in my eyes and shows that there is more to him than what we saw in previous books. Grace came across as stuck up and mean in the beginning of the book and it took along time for me to like her. But, she stood up for what she believed in and made Trevor work for her attention. And in the end I found her to be a strong, stand up for her believes kind of girl and I liked her. The attraction between these two was present from the beginning, but it was slow in building to anything real, which I liked. A lot of dirty talk, which is always nice. More romance than graphic sexual scenes, which I prefer when reading Y/A or college age romances. Also, I like that there are some laugh out loud moments, which this Author is good at writing. At times Trevor was too good to be true, but he was written as believable. I definitely enjoyed reading Trevor and Grace's story. And, I recommend everyone continuing with the Boston Terrier Series. But, my heart is really looking forward to Owen, and I cannot wait for Jock. I also feel like there were some new characters introduced that will bring on additional books in the series. Maybe even a Hockey story?

Tackle is my most favorite of the Boston Terrier series. Jacob’s love of football is clearly apparent in his writing of this college sports romance. Even his shout out to his beloved Pats was not missed!! Tackle is fun, feisty, full of banter, with ups, downs and misunderstandings!!

Trevor Lincoln is from a football family, his dad and older brother both playing for Boston U. Currently Trevor is the hot shot top jock for the Terriers with big steps to follow in. But Trevor also has the full support of his family and their wealth to make it easy for him to not have the financial worries of other students.

Grace Duffy is a new transfer in student to Boston U and thanks to a scholarship to play girls football she has part of her expenses paid. Still close enough to home she helps out at her parent’s restaurant when she is able to. Her dad and her are really close so there is nothing she’d rather do than spend time helping her dad when he needed!

It doesn’t take long to see that although there is a definite attraction between Trevor and Grace. While Trevor is full speed ahead, Grace keeps putting on the brakes. She will not allow herself to get mixed up with this “silver spoon jock” and have her heart trampled.

One of the things I loved about Trevor was that he was persistent and determined to break through to Grace that he was not some pre-conceived notion that she had about jocks and wealth. The lengths he would go to will make you swoon and your heart melt.

But when Trevor is issued an ultimatum from his dad it turns his world upside down. For the first time in his life he is going to have to work. But the timing couldn’t have been better as Grace’s dad was looking for help at his diner. Trevor worked hard and caught on quickly to his duties too. I really loved the closeness between Mr. Duffy and Trevor too.

So, you can see where this is going. The more time these two work together and spent with each other Grace begins realized there’s more to Trevor than just an entitled jock. Through his hard work, kindness and sweet romantic gestures Grace begins to let go of any qualms she had about Trevor. Finally allowing the pent-up sexual energy culminate into an explosive yet molten evening of pleasure and passion!

Even though Trevor and Grace have promised to always be truthful to each other there is a secret that Trevor has kept from Grace. What will happen when this secret is unveiled?

This was a slow burn romance with a whole lot of smolder!!! You can only fight chemistry for so long. Trevor was relentless in his pursuit, thoughtful with his wooing, irresistibly romantic and a little bit dirty! You can’t help but love him.

I really enjoy the Boston Terriers Series and continue to fall for these football hotties!
